In the year 2012, Indian companies went all out to attract women for top roles which resulted in increase in their share in senior management roles increased from9% in the year 2011 to 14% in 2012, an over 50% growth, reveals a study commissioned by TOI.

2012 ranking of the 500 largest corporations in the United States includes record 18 firms helmed by female CEOs, up from 12 companies in 2011.

MBA is mostly considered as a male dominated area due to which we see lesser number of women participating than men. This range of this difference is more in our country (India) than in countries like Europe and US.

Indian School of Business (ISB), on the other hand, has an impressive 28% women in its present class of 767 management students against a global average of around 35-45% at business schools like Harvard and Wharton.
