Have you ever encountered an whacky questions on your interview where you felt that question was totally irrelevant.
A couple of days back, I received a newsletter where it was mentioned about 25 weirdest questions asked in the interview ever.
Glassdoor compiled a list of questions asked by major companies.
I am just mentioning a few of those along with kickass answers provided by some of the candidates.
“If we came to your house for dinner, what would you prepare for us?” Asked at Trader Joe’s, Crew candidate
Are you allergic to any type of food?
“My wife and I are going on vacation, where would you recommend?” Asked at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Advisory Associate candidate.
Are you going together?
“Calculate the angle of two clock pointers when time is 11:50.” Asked at Bank of America, a Software Developer candidate.
AM or PM?
“If you had turned your cell phone to silent, and it rang really loudly despite it being on silent, what would you tell me?” Asked at Kimberly-Clark, Biomedical Engineer candidate
Which cell phone (brand, type, OS, etc.)?
Go see an ENT specialist.
“On a scale from one to ten, rate me as an interviewer.” Asked at Kraft Foods, General Laborer candidate
Does the scale go from best to worst or otherwise?
“How many quarters would you need to reach the height of the Empire State ?” Asked at Bain & Company, Associate Consultant candidate
What’s the price of admission ?
“How would you rate your memory?” Asked at Marriott, Front Desk Associate candidate.
Which type of memory (short/mid/long-term?)?
” Have you ever stolen a pen from work?” Asked at Jiffy Software, Software Architect candidate
Yes, but not on purpose!
“Estimate how many windows are in New York ?” Asked at JetBlue, for a job as a pricing/revenue management analyst
Are we referring to regular windows or computing devices running the operating system Windows? Plus, define Window. Is it an opening in a wall? Does it need to have a glass plane?
Now this was hilarious but if you really want to know how to really tackle Job interview Questions then you can check out this infographic. It’s really cool.
